This taman is the eastern entrance into the sprawling Gunung Pulai recreational forest. It is quite a distance away from the peak which is much nearer to the western entrance. This taman is still work in progress but already it shows exciting potential. From this main car park, the concrete paths give way to earthen trails which show itself to be previously a palm oil plantation and eventually it transitions into the forest itself. The hikes are marvellous with many sub trails of various levels of difficulty. The Tasik Biru (blue lake) is frequently featured in reviews but the viewing point/shelf requires much caution: I would welcome better safety barriers

Often heard about the beauty of the Tasik Biru in JB and decided to made a trip after doing some search on the net about getting to the viewpoint. Parked car at the car park and look for a concrete path on the left of the car park. Follow the path all the way and it just ended abruptly. Keep heading up towards the hill and you will come upon another path that has a signboard that says Tasik Biru. Keep going, come to a fork and choose upwards again to reach the view point. I agreed that it's a pretty sight from the height looking down towards the quarry lake. It's more sky blue shade to me. Only takes about 15mins to reach the view point but got plenty of mosquitoes along the way. Wasn't prepared for that though. Still, it is worth the trip.

Blue lake become smaller and smaller. Trekking route still challenging depends how you choose, can go different viewpoint!

When you arrived here its just parking area for people go hike to Tasik Biru Kangkar Pulai..you can come just to watch sunrise here or you want to enter the trail that will guide you until the Blue Lake. Trail was clean and clear. Also got clear sign to reach the lake. Suitable for beginer just take half an hour until you see the blue lake there. If you dare enough to continue hike, you can take the trail to another point/peak.

The first few hundred meters are paved, offering a smooth and comfortable start to your walk, before transitioning into a natural soil path that immerses you in a more rustic, back-to-nature experience. The walk to the blue lake viewpoint is gentle and suitable for all ages, including casual walkers and families with children. It's a short and easy hike—ideal if you're looking for a quick outdoor escape. Once you reach the viewpoint, you can either turn back for a relaxing return trip or continue onwards if you're up for a longer adventure. Overall, it’s a well-maintained and enjoyable spot for a light hike with rewarding scenery. Highly recommended for a short nature outing that doesn't require intense effort.
