  • Place looks promising and we were quite excited to try with the good reviews. However the food did not meet expectations. We had tomato and pork bone soup which came diluted. Requested for soup to be thicker which made the tomato soup really flavorful but pork bone just tasted more salty, oily and “msg” like. So get the tomato but not the pork bone For ingredients: - Premium pork belly slice: We might be unlucky but it had a very strong smell and should have requested for a replacement instead of masking it with sauce. This ended up in a few trips to the toilet - beef tenderloin: very tough - prawn paste: Not as crunchy or rich as other places - Enoki mushroom - tang-o - lotus root - Chinese cabbage We spent 228rm for 2 pax. I really hope that it’s a case of bad luck and wrong dish order. But there are definitely better hotpot places around

  • Came on a weekday and the place was very empty. Practically had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Comes with the standard sauce bar and crispy soybeans which are legit crispy and not hard. Some of their portions can be quite big so be careful if you're coming along or in a pair. Servers and waiters/waitresses are very attentive and helpful as well. Would recommend this place for a hotpot dinner. Closes at 11.45 so can sorta have a late dinner too.

  • Authentic Mala steamboat experience. They use a master stock to top up the soup. Ingredients are fresh. Could have more ingredients at the sauce bar.

  • Great experience at ShuDaxia Hotpot JB! The broth was rich and flavorful, ingredients were fresh, and service was friendly and attentive. The mala soup was especially good. A solid spot for delicious hotpot—highly recommend!
