  • My one night staycation in August 2025 at KSL Residence Block B @ Daya was far from ideal. The Studio unit, located in a high rise condominium, presented several issues that significantly detracted from the experience. The Studio apartment is approximately 9.2km from JB Sentral, its location proved inconvenient. Aeon Tebrau Mall is about 17km away. The traffic conditions are a major drawback. A drive to Aeon Tebrau Mall, estimated at 25 minutes, took nearly 50 minutes via Grab. The route is heavily congested, leading to inflated fares (from RM$12 to RM$22) and frequent driver cancellations. The nearest Dim Sum Restaurant is about 1km away on foot. Key Retrieval: The mailbox lock was defective, compromising security. I informed the host upon checkout via text message after leaving the key inside the unlocked mailbox, but has not heard from him for more than 4 hours. The host's lack of responsiveness raises concerns about the availability of timely assistance. Studio Apartment Condition: The toilet bowl in the bathroom had a noticeable urine smell. The shower area, separated by clear glass panels, lacked a door, affecting privacy and convenience. The only option for obtaining water for the electric kettle was the bidet hose next to the toilet bowl, which is unhygienic. The studio also lacked essential amenities such as a kitchen sink, tissues, and additional towels. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room, requiring the aircond fan to run at full speed throughout the night, disrupting my sleep. The squeaking hinges on the main door were an irritating annoyance. Overall: The combination of inconvenient location, traffic congestion, security concerns, poor host responsiveness, and substandard apartment conditions made for a disappointing staycation.

  • Comfortable Stay, With a Few Surprises Stayed here for one night with my family and overall, I’m giving it 5 stars based on the clean, well-kept living space and spotless rooms and bathrooms. It was exactly what we needed for a short stay—simple, modern, and tidy. However, I’m rating the service 4 stars due to a minor letdown. The pool mart displayed a big ‘24 hours’ sign, but when we dropped by at 1am, it was clearly closed. A bit misleading, and it caught us off guard. Location-wise, it’s not the most central—there aren’t many dining options within walking distance at night. You’d likely need to order GrabFood or ride out to a nearby mall. Still manageable, but worth noting. One quirky thing worth mentioning: the building seems to be going all out on energy saving. The lights only turn on as you walk past them, one by one—like a scene from a horror movie. Even our GrabFood rider was a little creeped out when the lobby was pitch dark and suddenly lit up when I entered! Despite the minor issues, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Would still recommend for families looking for clean and affordable accommodation in JB.

  • Rooms are clean and well maintained. TV available but have to use apps to watch shows. Wifi ok, but a bit slow at times. There's a washing machine, iron and board. Gas stove doesn't work. An oven (not microwave), electric kettle and an induction cooker available, but with only one cooking pot useable. Kitchen utensils very worn out.

  • Location is good, quite accessible to the nearby malls. Rooms are clean and well maintained. However, tv cannot access netflix or youtube and the wifi signal is 1 bar in half the apartment.

  • Book the stay on 10-11/12/2022. Upon entering, I was greeted by small cockroaches running around the living room. The apartment of old and the ceiling kitchen build with insect nesting. Kettle is not working so I couldn't use to boil water. Living room carpet is old and looks dirty. Towel provided was also not as clean. However location is great and size of room is good.
