Avoid at all costs. I don’t understand how they have such high reviews when my friends and I visited and only 1 out of 3 had a good experience. My friend had a condescending stylist who gave backhanded and sarcastic compliments like ‘wow your hair is so thick’ ‘I will take a long time with your hair’ ‘this thick hair is wasted on you’ My stylist gave me false assurance. I wanted to dye my hair, a single colour. He told me that there will be a SLIGHT difference, that is NOT very obvious, because I used to dye my hair black. So the top of my head will absorb the colour better. I continuously asked if it was going to be very obvious and he said it wouldn’t be. After the colour has been applied and while I was waiting for it to set, he suddenly told me he forgot to inform that there was a 30rm CNY surcharge. Er, my hair already like that, I cannot say no right? Anyway, after my hair was washed, I noticed that the colour difference was HUGE, and he still kept insisting that it wasn’t obvious. He also said that for the next 2 weeks, the colour will drop and it’ll get better, and my towels will be stained, so to use a dark coloured one. It has been more than 3 weeks and my the water and foam still turns pink. The difference in colours are so bad that people I meet asked what happened. I ended up buying my own box hair dye to try and cover up the colour. This awful hair job costs me 318rm. End up I still buy box hair dye to cover up. What a waste of money. I chose the cheaper dye option too cause the ‘better’ one was 100rm more. So my hair was super dry for the next 2 weeks. The dye job was also sloppy, with my neck and forehead being stained too. 100% will not recommend this place. In fact, I’ll warn people.

Came here to do balayage at 6pm. Kelly, and her colleagues who helped, were meticulous & careful with their work and always checked up on my wellbeing at every stage of the process. It was pain-free and quite a quick one. The result is beautiful! Highly recommend to visit this place for your hair needs!

After the visiting the REDS, I understand why they have some many great reviews. The staffs pushes you to write a review for them before they are done with your hair and they respond to your review 5 minutes after you paid. The quality of their work is average, I clearly don't see the hype neither the 5 stars reviews but again maybe is a great salon for the locals I guess. It's a factory on a Friday they are doing 15 people's hair at the same time not really a personal experience but more focus on profitability than customer service. Also communication was a challenge but they were very pushy to upsell your their services scalp treatments, hair treatments, etc... Overall, it's clearly overrated and the reviews/rating are mostly positive as the staff overviews while you write them before you are done. For this price point, I'm sure you can find better places.

Kelly was really gentle and helpful throughout the entire process. I wanted to dye my hair pink but was a little nervous because my hair hasn’t bleached well in the past. I shared my concerns with her, and she reassured me by suggesting we bleach once first and see how it goes, which made me feel a lot more comfortable. I would admit that it’s a little on the pricier end, but after reading reviews that mentioned Red’s expertise in colours and unique styles, I felt it was worth investing a bit more. During the session, she would check in to see if I needed to use the toilet or wanted a blanket, which I thought was really thoughtful. She also constantly asked if the bleach or dye was irritating my scalp, which it wasn’t, but I really appreciated her attentiveness. Overall, the service was great, and I’m genuinely impressed with how the colour turned out.

It was my first time visiting REDS Salon KSL for bleaching and a milk-tea color with hairstylist KELLY!!! I was truly impressed! I was initially worried that bleaching would damage my hair, but the team here is extremely professional and explained every step clearly, which made me feel very comfortable. The color turned out perfect! I wanted a soft, airy milk-tea shade — not too yellow, not too ashy — and they achieved exactly what I had in mind. The result looks so natural and high-end. Even after bleaching, my hair still feels smooth and healthy. The environment is clean and relaxing, and the stylist was very attentive, always confirming the look I wanted. Overall, an excellent experience. From now on, I’ll only come to REDS Salon KSL for coloring! Highly recommended for anyone who wants bleaching or a beautiful milk-tea color! 💯✨
