I was so surprised that at 5 pm, the night market was already bustling with open stalls and lots of people shopping. It’s a long night market with many food stalls. The fruits are very cheap—for example, a small box of blueberries costs only RM8, a price I’ve never seen in any shop. It’s definitely worth a visit, and it only opens on Sundays.

Do not buy vegetables from the Indonesian lady who sets up her stall at the corner near the end of the pasar malam, not far from the satay bawah pokok stall. She tends to overcharge customers, and also avoid the smoke she tries to spread around her stall. + Fruits are cheaper compared to supermarket prices. + Plenty of hype around sweets and local foods (satay bawah pokok was delicious) + Some clothing vendors are available. + Unique items can also be found here.

Good experience to be at the Sunday night market. There are many stalls to visit. Actually, most of them are the same as KSL, Johor Jaya, Bukit Indah night markets. One can eat your full with endless choices of food. It is not that crowded and is very pleasant to take a slow walk through end to end. Easily find fried chicken, fried noodles, fried carrot cake, lots of drinks to choose from. Got a few Muslim stalls too.

Arrived at night market after 4pm and already few people buying stuff while remain few stalls are about to setup for business. Permas Jaya night market(Sunday) is more spacious to browse around & the crowds have a good mix of local & foreigners than KSL night market (Monday) with mostly Singaporean. Some stalls owner can be seen at other night markets too as I recognized few faces, guess they are hopping locations daily. Thai mango salad is a disappointment as the mango has big slides cut & half box filled with sauce. Satay is good while eaten immediately, taken home mutton & chicken meats have harden. My conclusion that you’ve visited any one JB night market than the others are almost similar stalls selling the same street foods. It’s the atmosphere one should enjoy on an evening, bring back my childhood memories.

Such an awesome night market. Spoilt for choice. I think there’s close to 100 plus stalls, 80% Chinese stalls and 20% others. Duitnow payment is widely accepted. I love the large selection of food stalls and great variety. There’s also lots of fruit stalls and clothing plus daily necessities shop. Make sure you stroll all the way down to the end before making any purchase, otherwise, you either end up buying a lot or regret your earlier purchases (like me). Only down for me, can’t find goreng pisang but they do sell lekor. Nearly Parking was quite difficult, so do plan to park a distance and walk. Note most stalls are setup by 4pm (even though google states 5pm as opening time).
