I was initially skeptical about the high reviews, especially since the cafe was relatively empty when we arrived on a weekday afternoon. The bagels here have been reimagined with local flavours. They tasted nothing like a traditional Western bagel, but were delicious and flavourful, infused with Asian ingredients such as hei bee hiam. Even the coffees such as tiramisu/honey oat lattes tasted local, despite being of western origins. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food and drinks were served quickly, service was prompt. Decor was raw, rustic, and well put together. Place was calmingly quiet, a good place for work/dates.

Visited Palates & Bagels by T.A.M at Jalan Dhoby and had such a pleasant experience! The café has a cozy and welcoming vibe, warm lighting, simple décor, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it an ideal spot for brunch, a quiet afternoon break, or a casual meet-up with friends. I ordered the T.A.M Savoury Bagel and an Iced Chocolate, and both were absolutely delicious. The bagel had the perfect balance of texture , slightly crisp on the outside and soft inside; filled with flavourful ingredients that were fresh and satisfying. It’s clear that the café takes pride in their food quality and presentation. The iced chocolate was smooth, rich, and perfectly chilled, not overly sweet, which made it even more enjoyable. Together, it was a simple but perfect meal. What I really appreciated was how comfortable the café felt. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy your food, and just take in the peaceful surroundings. Service was straightforward and efficient, allowing for a relaxed dining experience without any rush. Overall, Palates & Bagels by T.A.M is a hidden gem in Jalan Dhoby, great food, great drinks, and a cozy setting that makes you want to come back for more. I’ll definitely be returning to try their other bagel options!

If you're a serious coffee lover, this is the shop you absolutely must try when you're in the Jalan Dhoby area. I had the classic Café Latte, and it was superb. It’s genuinely perfect—hitting that ideal balance of robust bitterness and intense coffee smell. The best part? The coffee price is cheap! You get fantastic, high-quality coffee without breaking the bank. This makes it a perfect place for a morning coffee grab to kickstart your day. Highlight: While the food is okay (they specialize in bagels, and they're decent!), the true reason to come here is the coffee. Latte tasted great with nice deep roast. But the oat latte at MYR20 is really close to Singapore price, and only comes in a small cup. We had the Louise and the Dino with mayo on the side. Ironically the Louise bagel was spicy even though there was no chilli sign next to it on the menu, and my kids struggled to eat that. But both bagels were amazing - crunchy bagels, tasty fillings and satisfied tummies. But overall, food is 10/10 but prices are steep at near Singapore levels.

Came here to buy some bagels for takeaway. There weren’t much to choose from given we went in really early but the staff were helpful in assisting us in finding those that were good for kids and takeaway. Ended up buying their croissant which were pretty good
