I would rate it above all the others which serve almost the same kind food esp those famous ones. Definitely beat those famous ones for the toast, Kaya n certain food. Ordered their fried chicken nasi lemak 6/10, rice was fragrant but fried chicken too salty n tough. Curry laksa 9/10, love the solid thick laksa gravy w chicken meat, long bean, bean sprout, tou pok, fishcake. My no.1 favorite is their Kaya toast, their gula melaka Kaya is so yummy 10/10 for that definitely. We actually ordered a 2nd serving for the toast. It beat any SG toast n definitely better than any famous ones in JB too.

I visited Padi Kopitiam three times over two days for both breakfast and lunch, and every visit was a pleasant experience. You can really tell that the person making the toast puts a lot of heart into it. The toast is toasted evenly and perfectly and it tastes so good. The kopi here is excellent as well. Rich, fragrant, and very satisfying. I noticed their crispy banana is very popular, so I asked if I could order just one piece. A very kind lady named Linda explained that it’s not usually sold that way, but she happily offered me a piece anyway (and it actually came with two). Such a lovely gesture. I really like the vibe here. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and the service is attentive and genuinely friendly.

Great spot near my place with plenty of seat and food options! Tried the laksa and Ipoh hor fun—both satisfying, though the laksa isn’t quite Sarawak-level. Portions are generous, and the curry puff was a delightful surprise. The staffs are friendly and polite. The place is clean and quiet during non peak hours. I enjoyed my meal here. The food prices are slightly high but still affordable. Recommended if you are craving for comfort food! 😁

Nasi Lemak is yummy. Highly recommended as the taste is impressive. Forget about their mee rebus. Deep fried biscuit is not crispy, they replaced it by deep fried prawn for me after feedback. Mee rebus soup is not enough, noodle very dry towards the end. Coffee is nice, we ordered “gao”. Small cup is 3.90 and large cup is 4.90. I think it’s on the high side as compared to other nanyang cafe.

Kopi - average Teh - good Kaya toast - great Char kway tiao -( personal preference) wasn't as good as I thought as the kway tiao was too chewy but there's wok hey to it. Dry curry mee - wasn't too special when eating them individually. But was surprised (good surprise) by the taste when we put the noodle into the dry curry.
