Johor Zoo
About
Johor Zoo in Johor Bahru has undergone renovations and offers an affordable, aesthetically pleasing space to view a variety of animals, including lions, tigers, and capybaras. The zoo is generally clean and provides an engaging experience for families and children.
While many areas are stroller and wheelchair-friendly, some parts may still require navigating stairs. It is recommended to bring sunscreen, umbrellas, and handheld fans, as shade can be limited in certain sections. The zoo is well-connected with local parking options and shuttle services.

Lot of cute animal! Arrived there around 11am, and took around 1.5hour to complete the whole zoo😆 There is some interactive session with parrot, snake, lizard etc. Cool area. Basic facilities, air conditioning area is there. Kids zone also there to let the child play. All the lion and tiger is sleeping, maybe the weather too hot. Come here just for capybara to be honest, and yes all 3 is adorable!😆😆 There is a small garden where peacock, rabbit and some bird is flying and run around where visitor can have fun with them, good too. Prepare some umbrella and UV if you are puteri lilin.

My second time at Zoo Johor. First time was before the renovation in 2018. That time it only costs RM2 per person. Decided to go again to see how much has changed. This time the ticket price rose to RM10. But it is still very affordable. Bought the tickets online to avoid queuing as I went there on a Saturday. The check in was hassle free, only show your IC and scan the QR of your online ticket at the gate. Was wondering though how they were able to take care all the animals with such cheap tickets. Nonetheless, managed to park near the zoo on the roadside. Not much has changed, but still it looks very aesthetically pleasing now. The animals are still the same, but there are a few added animals here and there. Were provided with a map & able to finish touring in an hour with a little crowd. Please wear your sunscreen because there were not much trees to provide shade. Bring your umbrellas and mini fan & get ready to be drenched in sweat 👍🏻

for RM10? hellooooo~~~ this is the best cheapest ZOO everrrr just that not fully stroller and OKU friendly.. some part of places are not accessible via stroller and wheelchair.. i was expecting they kinda add on ramp after renovation to visit higher part of animals to see tigers or giraffe, however there was none. need to climb stairs. overall experience is great. will visit again!!!

Spent a good time with family on Chinese New Year Eve at Zoo Johor Many childhood memories here here This place has been upgraded and reopened and crossed its 1 million visitors mark Unfortunately, hippopotamus was not available as it was being treated Camel and giraffe are not available too Most spectacular one goes to Tiger 🐅 Lion hid in the cave The place is clean and disabled friendly Labels are clear Good to bring along small kids to learn Can park at the parking further north to the zoo Free shuttle bus is available Can plan for a series tour to Kota Jail after visiting the zoo

my visit to zoo johor was a pleasant and decent experience. The zoo offers a nice variety of animals, and it’s a relaxing place to spend time with family or friends. The atmosphere is calm and shaded in many areas, making it comfortable to walk around. The ticket prices are reasonable, and it is easy to explore at your own pace. While it is not a very large zoo, it still provides an enjoyable outing and a good opportunity to appreciate nature and wildlife. Overall, a nice place for a simple, relaxing day.
