Finally today early evening at 5pm has the chance to visit this Johor Jaya Food Street that many YouTubers introduce. Partly cloudy today, good to dine in open outdoor. The crowd has not arrived & stalls are just setting up. Best time 5.30-6pm where hungry diners have yet to arrive. You can easy pick a seating table but later time may be a challenge. Try one of two Char Kway Teow stalls, order Penang duck egg CKT small (RM9). Its cook on a dry fried not the usual wet sweet fried type. The two prawns are small & comes with Chinese sausage. Can eat but may not repeat visit stall. Order one of two Satay stalls (Chinese stall in middle of food street & Malay stall at another corner). Ordered 5 pork & 5 lamb (RM15), has to eat while served as lamb harden when cooldown. The lamb meat not fatty but lack the Halal style seasoning that I favor. Lemon drink(RM5) breaks your thirst after all this heaty foods.

Very huge foods street, over 50 stalls. Order drink service was quick. Food not super good but ok to eat. Recommend the Otak and Satay stalls. Can try more others food next time. Less tourists there.

Johor Jaya Food Court is a fantastic street food spot with a wide variety of options for every taste. The quality is excellent and prices are very affordable. Fish lovers should definitely try the grilled stingray with chili sauce — slightly spicy and full of flavor. Other highlights include fried sweet potato balls and spicy fish paste grilled in banana leaves. It’s self-service and cash payment only, making it a classic, authentic hawker experience.

This was my first time visiting Johor Jaya Open Food Court, and it honestly felt like a lively night market. I went on a Sunday afternoon and was surrounded mostly by local people. Despite the crowd, parking was well-organized, and I found a seat pretty quickly. There’s a wide variety of food to choose from: Singaporean, Thai food, Western options, and more. I tried a mix of things. Prices were reasonable. Also, don’t forget to explore the surrounding area: there are some restaurants and stalls nearby, with AC, toilet and great food at good prices too. I’d recommend this spot if you’re looking to try different types of street food or just want to hang out and spent time in JB.

Great variety of malaysian food at reasonable pricing. Come experience alfresco dining under the stars!! Highly recommend satay and claypot chicken.
