A decent sized mall located in Johor Bahru next to the checkpoint towards Singapore. It is conveniently connected to the JB Sentral where visitors gather. The mall has some similar stores to Singapore's malls like Decathlon, Watsons, Pezzo etc.. but there are also some stores which are not available in SG like Family Mart and Avery Day 👍 The free wifi in the mall doesn't seem to work when I tried connecting to it, even connected there was no internet. 😕 The upper levels (5 to 6) also seems to be under renovations when I visited so there are less stores to browse around. Overall, it's alright not too bad. The mall is nothing special but a good place to shop for your go to meals and stores.

Always something to do at city square. More popular brands are coming in with more unique shopping and dining experiences. Love how they’re decorated for almost every festival. Really have the vibe here

A shadow of its former glory as compared to its prime back in the 2000s, it still draws in the Singaporean crowd as it is literally the first mall on the left once you exit customs. The once lively upper levels are now undergoing renovations and “the underground” at levels 3 and 4 have matured into food and services outlets rather than the fashion street concept that it used to be. Restaurants at the basement are family-oriented and typical of malls in JB. The highlight would be the events held at the atrium of level 1 from time to time. We managed to bask in the busyness of the mid-autumn mooncake sale the day it started and were greeted by queues outside almost every other booth. Worth a visit!

JB City Square a mall very close to CIQ. All the shops under one roof. You can simply get anything from there without a need to travel far to other malls. Many popular restaurants and shops. I had my breakfast at the Oriental kopi. It was so good..

Nice place to walk around. It’s just beside the Malaysia custom and it’s in a very good location, less than 5 minutes walk from the custom. As it is in a very good location, there are quite a lot of shops. You can buy stuff, cut hair, do massage, do manicure and pedicure, eat here and lots more. Most people will takeaway food from here back to Singapore too
