I was craving sourdough and this place popped up on Google Maps — and I’m honestly so glad it did. Bluer House, located near JB CIQ, is a small and cosy café that feels thoughtfully put together rather than trying too hard. The space is intimate, probably able to accommodate around 5–6 small groups of 2–4 pax, which gives it a calm, relaxed vibe. Great for a slow meal or a quiet coffee break after crossing over. The highlight for me was the sourdough. I ordered the Apple Grilled Cheese, made with brie, vintage cheddar and mozzarella, and it was excellent. The bread was well-toasted with a good crust and chew, and the combination of grilled apples, walnut nibs and wild honey added a really nice balance of sweet and savoury. It felt indulgent but not overwhelming, and you can tell the ingredients were chosen carefully. For dessert, I had the Hojicha Nama Chocolate cake, which was a pleasant surprise. It has three distinct layers, with a firmer mousse texture that holds its shape well. The hojicha flavour comes through clearly without being too bitter, and the overall dessert felt refined and not overly sweet. I also ordered a white coffee, and appreciated that they offer different coffee bean blends to choose from — a small detail, but one that shows they care about the coffee experience. Overall, Bluer House is the kind of place you go to satisfy a specific craving and end up wanting to return for more. Cosy, well-executed food, good coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting if you’re near JB CIQ.

We were originally searching for sourdough when this shop popped up, and after checking their reviews, I realized they had exactly the kind of menu I’d been craving! The best part? It’s just a short walking distance from CIQ, so we decided to drop by yesterday. We were lucky to get our seats right away because the shop is quite small and doesn’t have many tables. A few minutes later, people started pouring in — talk about perfect timing! Now, onto the food 😋 We ordered Balsamic Grilled Chicken, Tartar Tuna, Iced Matcha Latte, and Iced Cutie Mocha. If you’re not sure what to try first, I highly recommend the Balsamic Grilled Chicken paired with the Iced Cutie Mocha. Both were sooo good 🥹 — the flavors complemented each other perfectly! The Iced Cutie Mocha leaned more toward chocolate than coffee (which we loved!), and that rich chocolate aroma with the creamy topping was just chef’s kiss. Honestly, their sourdough sandwiches were super good 😭 — the kind that makes you want to have one every day! The crispy sourdough, tender chicken, fresh lettuce, and sweet, juicy tomatoes all came together beautifully. I’m still wondering how they made everything taste so fresh and flavorful. You really have to try it yourself to understand what I mean! xD

🥚 Ajitamago The egg was exceptionally well marinated, flavorful without being overly salty. It paired beautifully with the cabbage, and the nori flakes delivered a surprisingly strong punch of umami. 🍎🧀 Apple Grilled Cheese Incredibly cheesy, to the point where the apple flavor was somewhat overshadowed. I wish the apple slices were thicker to add more juiciness and balance. ☕️Special Dirty White Very smooth with a bold coffee profile, finished with a subtle hint of pomelo. 🍹 Minister of Coffee Refreshing at the start, though the coffee flavor fades a little too quickly. ✨Overall✨ I would definitely return to try more of their sourdough items. The sourdough is perfectly toasted, not overly crispy or dry to the point of hurting your tongue, and impressively it stays firm and does not turn soggy even after 15 minutes. On top of that, the crew was genuinely hospitable, which made the overall dining experience even more enjoyable!

Came to try their sourdough toast and got the half truffle mushroom one. Honestly I thought the toast was toasted perfectly with a nice chew to it - sufficient mushrooms and light truffle fragrance overall. Would recommend and for those who drinks coffee, they do some interesting coffee drinks as well. Go check them out! 👍 Oh really small space tho…

If you're into your coffee, this place should be on your to-do list. Really calm and cosy little coffee house and a different world when you step in, especially in contrast to the busy main road you had to cross to come in. Ordered their Minister of Coffee, gorgeous piece - tangy, salty, well balanced with the coffee notes and not at all sweet despite the use of syrups. Also, got their cold brew and mushroom sourdough to go. Exciting little find if you need a pick me up. Incredible service and atmosphere!
