Attrus Bed & Breakfast
About
Attrus Bed & Breakfast is a capsule-style accommodation in Johor Bahru's Ibrahim International Business District, within walking distance of the JB Train Station and local shopping malls. While some guests find the modern capsules comfortable for short stays, experiences regarding service and facility maintenance are highly polarized.
Frequent reports mention significant hygiene concerns, including bathroom cleanliness, as well as inconsistent Wi-Fi performance and occasional unprofessional service. Because feedback is sharply divided between guests satisfied with the location/price and those reporting maintenance or service frustrations, potential visitors should carefully consider these mixed accounts. Are you looking for a specific type of capsule experience or proximity to the customs checkpoint?

Room is clean and comfortable, location is great, can walk to the city Sentral mall in 5 mins, and there is a great restaurant just across street. Price is really reasonable for a short term stay. Staff service is acceptable to me, but the restroom area is just unacceptable. Even staff clean the area regularly, everything is just too old and broken, and seems not under maintenance. Another problem is other tentant, many of them does not really consider for others, walk half naked in the hallway, have phone call in the room at 3am, as well as talking loudly in the public area. Last thing, their wifi in the capsule area sucks, at least the wifi in the second floor almost cannot load YouTube videos.

Im being generous by giving it a solid 2 🌟 🤩 ⭐️ 🌠 💫 The receptionist & 1 of the maid cleaning staff are exceptionally rude. Obviously I booked here for how cheap it is however that shouldn't entitle them in this behavior. Despite of how dirty & filthy the bathrooms & some ppl are here, I understand that not all of them are spiteful, I assume most are just trying to get by like I am. I tried all I could to respectfully connect to the internet but kept getting blocked. I asked the front desk & they didn't care much to respond on it. There was also an exceptionally rude young Bangladeshi man who was having dinner with the receptionist in the ground lobby giving me dirty stares, yelling loudly & put their food away as if I intruded on them. My wife & I love Malaysia but definitely not these bad apples who probably have a bad reputation as it is in the local communities here. So I am emailing the main office to escalate my complaints of this bad behavior. This is a hostel not an hostile followed by such behavior. We have stayed in nice accommodations such as like the Amari next door among many other names in Malaysia & singapore however sometimes we choose what is feasible & a good deal for our weekly budget if it seems as a no brainer. I have much more complaints but I'll cut it here. If you're looking to save money while transitioning I'd say this place is what you make of it. However the wifi does not work despite having full bars, we believe there are eyes in the sky that are colluding in bad ethics. Overall not the worst but definitely not coming back after this. I've been traveling consecutively now for 3 months and from time to time I can be frugal but not at the expense of poor attitude & rude behavior along with any other foul play that maybe going on behind the scenes. Overall a very frustrating accommodation cleaning up after every1else including myself & dealing with rude staff. Other than that the capsules are nice & modern which provides a great place to rest & sleep. Take what you make of this at your own discretion & book wisely. Really to each their own. At the end of the day if im paying you for honest service don't be rude. You aren't the only country in the world to act this entitled as hourly wage workers. Come to Korea & Japan & see if hospitality is done this way. Do better & be a better reflection of what foreigners will automatically look at you as & judge you in general as a nation. Not most Malaysians are like this. Most we met are outstanding accommodating warm welcoming ppl.

If you’re not fussy, this is definitely the place to go! The room and toilet were very clean, the bed was comfy, and I finally had a good sleep after a while. The location is convenient—close to Customs and with food places nearby. You also get a 10% discount at the hotel’s restaurant, and the food is sooo good. The price is cheap, and I’ll definitely book again next time.

The front desk lady was extremely unprofessional. I checked in on the afternoon of October 24th, and she didn't smile the entire time. She immediately demanded a 10 RM tourism tax. She didn't charge me until I showed her a PDF invoice. The next day, I extended my stay, but since it was a special offer, the PDF tourism tax invoice wasn't included with my reservation. When I returned to the hotel after 10 PM, the same lady stopped me again and demanded a 20 RM tourism tax. Finally, after I showed her my invoice from the previous day and my two-day reservation confirmation, she finally collected the 10 RM tourism tax. I don't mind paying taxes, but the front desk lady's attitude and unprofessionalism left me with a very negative impression of this hotel. It felt like she was trying to rip me off for two days. The hotel's location is excellent, a five-minute walk from JB Train Station. The bedding was a little dirty and worn, but I was fine with turning my pillow over.

The receptionist, Vicky was exceptionally well mannered with a smile on his face. He also kecian me cause I was waiting to check in and as soon the bed is available, he let me check in a bit earlier than usual. We should give kudos to such hospitality, usually I only felt it in Thailand or Vietnam. Malaysia Boleh!
