  • A recent visit to Amari Johor Bahru left me with a generally pleasant impression. The location is a big plus — right in the city centre, next to City Square and Komtar JBCC, making it extremely easy to get around and find food. Everything is within walking distance, and it’s especially convenient for crossing in and out of Singapore. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern design that felt relaxing rather than over-the-top. The bed was comfortable, and the room remained fairly quiet despite being in a busy area. Housekeeping was generally good, although I did notice a few minor signs of wear, particularly in the bathroom — nothing serious, but worth mentioning. Service was polite and professional, and the check-in process was smooth. I’d like to specifically commend Adam, who provided excellent service and was friendly, attentive, and helpful whenever assistance was needed. His professionalism definitely added to the overall experience. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel and didn’t get a chance to use the gym or pool, so I can’t comment on those facilities. Overall, Amari Johor Bahru delivers a solid 4-star experience with comfortable rooms and an excellent location. It may not feel ultra-luxurious, but it’s reliable, convenient, and a good choice for short stays or weekend trips. I’d consider returning.

  • Great 1 night stay at Amari! Staff were very friendly and attended to us warmly! Location near JB Checkpoint so it is a big plus. Room was large and spacious for 2 pax for SGD200 a night. Bed was comfortable, toilet was clean. Some points that bugged me was the flush that needed to press and hold on to the button for the full flush, and the sink is aesthetically pleasing but it gets a little annoying when washing up as the water sprays everywhere. Otherwise, the room condition was good! Breakfast had a wide variety of options such as the local/western cuisine, pratas, noodles, egg station, cakes. Worth to get it! For gym-goers, the gym was pretty decent as well with the basic machines. Pool looks nice but might get squeezy if there are too many people using it. Fun point: there is a recreational room beside the reception area on L6, containing a pool table and foosball table. Pretty fun to have a few quick games if you have some time to kill.

  • Had a wonderful one-night stay here with my family. We were travelling with a 2 y/o, and the staff were super accommodating, it was really great service. Before checking in, I contacted the hotel with some questions and they were very polite and helpful. The rooms were spacious and pretty clean. The breakfast buffet was great too, with lots of options. My mom and sister also really enjoyed their spa time. I wld def recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you, Amari JB!

  • I had a very pleasant stay at Amari Johor Bahru. The room, service, and food were of an excellent standard. I requested connecting rooms, and the front desk staff were very accommodating in arranging this for me, assigning rooms 0817 and 0819. I would also like to commend the housekeeping staff, Mr. Rakib, for his friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism. He clearly takes pride in his work, which contributed positively to my overall experience. I will certainly choose to stay at Amari Johor Bahru again and would highly recommend the hotel to my colleagues.

  • I recently stayed at Amari Hotel JB and overall had a pleasant experience. The room size is good and comfortable, and I appreciated having a proper working table, which is very useful for work. The location is excellent, right in the town area, making it very convenient to get around. Check-in was fast, and the front office staff were friendly and professional, which made a good first impression. The gym is very decent and well-equipped, although it would be even better if it could operate 24 hours for guests with different schedules. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The car park entry is confusing, and for a 5-star hotel, parking really should be included for guests. The toilet feels a bit aged and not well maintained, and the water pressure for the bath is very low. On top of that, the water temperature runs too hot, making it uncomfortable to enjoy a proper bath or shower. Overall, it’s a well-located hotel with good room space and service, but some improvements in facilities and the bathroom experience would make it more in line with a 5-star standard.
