🧧✨ Aeon Mall Tebrau is fully in Chinese New Year mode! ✨🧧 Visited today and the festive atmosphere is already in full swing as the Year of the Horse approaches in about two weeks. The mall is beautifully decorated with CNY-themed displays, instantly setting the holiday mood the moment you step inside 🏮🐎 Shops and pop-up carts are everywhere, selling CNY cookies 🍪, decorations 🎊, artwork & paper goods 🖌️📜, festive clothing 👘, traditional CNY foods 🍊🥮, and baking ingredients. The whole place is filled with that unmistakable seasonal greeting vibe and “smell” of Chinese New Year 🎉🧧 A great one-stop spot to soak in the CNY atmosphere, do your festive shopping, and get into the celebration mood early. Highly recommended! ✨🛍️

Aeon Mall is a well-established shopping destination in Johor Bahru, with several branches across the city including popular spots like Tebrau City and Bukit Indah. The malls are generally highly regarded for providing a comprehensive, one-stop shopping and entertainment experience that caters well to families and casual shoppers alike. The consensus is that these malls are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering wide walkways and ample seating for a comfortable visit. The tenant mix at the larger malls, particularly AEON Tebrau City, is a major draw. Visitors can explore well-known international and local brands such as Uniqlo, H&M, and Padini, alongside specialty stores like Kaison for home decor and toys, and a sizable Toys R Us for children. The main AEON departmental store and an extensive, well-stocked supermarket are consistent highlights, offering a vast array of goods from groceries to cosmetics at competitive prices. Beyond retail, the entertainment options are excellent, especially for families. Kids can enjoy unique indoor playgrounds like the Finnish-themed Fanpekka or the adventurous Rocky Base Camp climbing gym, while movie lovers can catch new releases at the on-site cinema. Dining is another strength, with an impressive selection of F&B outlets and a large food hall offering diverse cuisines, from local Malaysian fare to Japanese shabu-shabu and Western fast food. Reviewers often praise the variety and affordability of the food options, making it a great place to sample different dishes. However, the experience is not without minor issues. The malls, especially AEON Tebrau City, can get extremely crowded on weekends and public holidays, making parking a challenge. Some visitors also note occasional service inconsistencies or minor maintenance issues in restrooms during peak times. Despite these small drawbacks, many consider an Aeon Mall a must-visit when in Johor Bahru, especially on weekdays to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere and great bargains. You can find more information about specific mall locations and current promotions on the official AEON Malls website.

A brightly lit mall, clean spacious and organised. There’s a new wing just opened, I can still smell the glue/paint around the area. A tea house situated right on top floor but the fragrance of their tea eggs was detected far away. I had to smell my way to find it, the eggs were so good!!! There’s also a cinema and a beautiful Japanese bookstore right in the mall. Visited on a weekday, less crowd and it’s been a pleasant shopping experience.

This is an extremely spacious mall that has most of the food and retail shops you'll need. Parking is convenient, and most importantly, it feels much safer than the more crowded malls closer to the Woodlands Checkpoint. While it requires a short drive, the better environment makes it worth the trip.

This is a very spacious mall, filled with well known brand stores and a wide array of F&B outlets. A highlight for me was the Tsutaya Bookstore! Not only does it carry books and stationery, but you can also discover beautifully crafted products by local artisans there! 🤎
