Had a very good experience over here. There are a lot of food choices for steamboat. The ingredients are very good quality and fresh, serve in a fair portion so that eveyone can finish it easily and manage to try more. They do serve desserts like gui lin gao, pudding, tau Fu hua and bing fen. All just taste good, not too sweet. Ordered 3 flavours of soups - pork bone, pumpkin and tomato. Unexpectedly the taste are really good. You won't feel thirsty after drinking it. The staffs are very friendly and caring, received a good services from them. Highly recommended!

I was really impressed with this place. The mala stir-fry and hotpot buffet is only $58.8, which is very reasonable considering the variety they offer. There’s a wide selection of meats, dumplings, mala dishes, desserts and drinks, all available for unlimited refills.

First time come to Austin Crest outlet after we tried their Kulai outlet. Love their concept of having lots of choices of ingredients and soup base. You can pick directly from the shelves or order some other from their menu. Most of it are already included in the per pax charges except for certain items which is of high price. They even peel off the prawn for you after you pick. Will definitely come again.

Ingredients very fresh Service is very attentive. They did provide deshelling of prawns for you. Malaxiangguo was very fragrant OH WAFFLES MUST TRY!!

Review of ChuanLai ChuanQu Steamboat @ Crest Austin You really have to try the food here to believe it! Honestly, I came in with low expectations, thinking that a setup where customers pick ingredients straight from the fridge might compromise on freshness. But I was absolutely wrong—my judgment failed me miserably. If I had trusted my doubts, I would have missed out on one of the best steamboat experiences I’ve had. The meat and seafood selection exceeded expectations. Every slice of pork belly, pork loin, pork collar, beef, and chicken turned out fresh, tender, and flavorful once cooked—passing my personal quality check with flying colors. The vegetables were equally fresh, and I especially enjoyed the frozen tofu, which soaked up the rich mala broth beautifully, giving every bite an extra kick of flavor. On top of that, they offer a wide range of desserts and drinks to round off the meal. My favorites included the refreshing fruit tea, indulgent bubble milk tea, smooth caramel beancurd, cooling Sichuan grass jelly, and chewy fried mochi. What makes this place stand out even more is that, besides steamboat, you can also DIY your own mala hotpot. Simply pick your favorite ingredients and the kitchen will whip up a fragrant and addictive “Mala Xiang Guo” for you—a perfect add-on to the hotpot experience. All in all, Chuanlai Chuanqu Steamboat completely won me over. With fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, and a wide selection of sides and desserts, it’s definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again!
